Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Does my child need chess experience?+

No. Complete beginners are welcome, as are children who already play regularly.

What ages do you teach?+

We work with children and adults. Lesson length and structure can vary by age and experience.

Are lessons only for competitive players?+

No. Some students prepare for tournaments, while others are learning chess or playing as a hobby.

Do you offer private and group lessons?+

Yes. Private lessons and small-group programs are available. Schools and organizations can also request larger group formats.

How long are lessons?+

Lesson length depends on the learner and program. Timing can be discussed during the introductory conversation.

What happens in the complimentary first lesson?+

We meet, play some chess, discuss experience and goals, and decide where to begin. There is no commitment afterward.
